Sisterhood of Snarky Stampers #106 - N is for Need Coffee

Time for SOSS #106 N is for Need Coffee! This sort of subtle snark on my card is my absolute favorite. Viagra. "Coffee" spatters. Suggestive sentiment. BUT, the sentiment on the inside? Even better: "Hope you perk up soon."  LMAO.

Fairy Happy

I've had this box card in mind since I saw the latest Greeting Farm release which arrived in the mail yesterday. Those fairies!  They are really tiny--like a quarter--and are adorable. But tiny as they are, I did use my thickest 100# coverstock to diecut the greenery. Some of those stems are so delicate they collapsed when I tried my usual 80#. Argh. The pic doesn't do the stenciled cloud background on the back panel justice. It's the perfect backdrop.

I got some new goodies the other day so had to play a bit. Our hobby is such a great way to unwind, isn't it? I think when I have the girls do this for a make n take in a couple of weeks, I'll leave off the initial masking and just have them cloud the whole background.

  1. Mask the card base and sponge clouds
  2. Color and cut out the images
  3. I used a swatch of denim and Copic 0 to create the mountain texture)
  4. Diecut the cityscape
  5. Stamp and mask the sentiment

Cards in Envy No Patterned Paper

Time for a new Cards in Envy challenge.  You're not to use patterned paper on your card but you're certainly welcome to make your own as I did here.  Aren't those tumbling cats the cutest? I love this chubby cat--just want to reach out and give her a tummy tickle then head to the ER for my scratches. LOL.

CDD March Release Recap 2

I did it! I created a winter holiday card in March. I am so far ahead of the Xmas game this year (knock on wood!).  I used the new Seasonal Fairies set, mounting that adorable winter fairy and fairy deer (eeee! so cute!) on white hearts so they would really stand out on the blue background.

To create the background, I used glossy white embossing paste with the stencil then sprinkled with my favorite glitter. I set that aside to dry. So pretty! After all of that, I realized I had forgotten to leave a clear spot for my sentiment so instead stamped that on a hill. I like this better than what I had in my head!

The Details:  Craftin' Desert Divas Seasonal Fairies, Oh What Fun, Nested Hearts Dies, Outdoor Landscape 2 Dies, Ranger Multi Medium Matte, Doodlebug Design Polar Pals 6x6 Designer Paper and Lily White Glitter, Dreamweaver Glossy White Embossing Paste, Memento Tuxedo Black and Danube Blue, Copics
