Cozy Polar Bear

Oh, how I wish this one showed the shine more.  Squint your eyes and maybe it will shine that way! We're supposed to dip down into the 20s so I'll be pulling out my woolies for sure.

Ralphie's Brother What's His Face

For the life of me, I cannot remember Ralphie's kid brother's name in A Christmas Story.  Georgie This little boy reminds me of him all bundled up to stay warm and cozy although when I was a kid I remember a much higher tolerance for the cold than I do now, that's for sure!

What Does the Deer Say?

Chugging along on the winter cards.  This one a cute scene with fantastic sparkle in that diecut.  I would love to see what the glitter would look like over an entire piece of DP but, alas, it's my last piece of that design.

Penguin Warm My Heart

I made a few winter cards rather than holiday cards assuming that I would be late in getting my cards in the mail, especially for my international friends. Had to make more. Can I call it or what? LOL.

I used my Copic airbrush for the masked off background--little Aurora Borealis action going on there. Copics to color, of course. So cute!

Merry and Bright Floral

I found the HA background stamp embossed onto a card front in my someday pile--can't even remember what I had intended for it back in the day. A little pink and red and green with a touch of blue and gold--new life as a holiday card! So based on the current The Heart Desires Challenge inspiration photo.

Happy holidays to you and yours!

Simple Holiday

A very quick and simple card today for The Heart Desires Mid-Challenge #7 reminder. I wish I had remembered I had the Cabrini ornament die earlier in my holiday card preparation, let me tell ya. A great design for mass production.

It's Not Sooooo Ugly

Don't know about you but my mom always wore appliqued sweatshirts during winter. They weren't necessarily ugly but they certainly were, um, creative.  This one is my rift on the make 'n' take that Katie brought along during our crafty party.  Very fun!  It was hard to ugly up that cute paper but Millicent's suggestion to add glitter totally worked.  LOL.

I'm going to include The Heart Desires Challenge 7 graphic.  Notice I used soft colors in the background, sparkle and deer aplenty. What oddball ideas can you bring to the THD Challenge table?

Goodbye, Teamie

I have a coworker who is part of my grant submissions team that is leaving her position in January--we are so clucked!  LOL.  FYI I printed the sentiments using my laser printer.  I wish there was a stamp set that said all of these things and more!

Through the Woods

I was inspired by my friend Katie's cute holiday car card so CASEd it with ingredients on hand. I used colors and layers to create the illusion of depth in the scene. The whimsical tree sticking out of the car is so Seattle. LOL. Also, a reminder about The Heart Desires Challenge #7. Love the pic!

ARTplorations Stencil Blog Hop Day 6

Today is the penultimate day of the Artplorations Stencil Hop.  You still have time to join in and see what we all have made using the amazing Artplorations stencils!

You can't get much easier than this card.  I sponged the Artplorations Christmas Trees stencil using just three colors of Distress Ink.  I then added a sprinkling of red matte enamel ornaments. Boom--done!
